REGULATIONS CHANGED ON 16th DECEMBER 2021 WHICH MEANS THAT A TRAILER DRIVING TEST IS NOT REQUIRED TO DRIVE A LARGE TRAILER ON THE ROAD.

DRIVING LICENCE CHANGES WHEN TOWING TRAILERS FROM 16th DECEMBER 2021

***********. YOU ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED TO SIT A CATEGORY B+E CAR AND TRAILER DRIVING TEST TO TOW A LARGE TRAILER OR CARAVAN ON THE ROAD.  **********

******.      All full car licence holders are now allowed to tow trailers up to 3,500kg. ******.

DVLA will update your driving licence record to show that you’re allowed to tow large trailers and caravans. You will receive a full B+E category on driving licence whenever you next renew your driving licence.

You do not need to contact DVLA for this to happen. It will be done automatically.

*****  ALTHOUGH YOU ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED TO TAKE A B+E CAR AND TRAILER TEST TO TOW A LARGE TRAILER ON THE ROAD. THE GOVERNMENT HAVE RECOMMENDED THAT YOU SHOULD TAKE SOME TRAILER TRAINING AND FAMILIARISATION BEFORE TOWING A TRAILER ON THE ROAD. *****

Trailer Training Course Option 1

The 1/2 day course is designed for people with some experience at driving and reversing trailers.

The 1/2 day trailer training course using our vehicle and trailer = £180.

Using your own or works vehicle and our's or your trailer =£140

The 1 day trailer towing course is designed for those with no trailer experience )
