                         GOVERNMENT CHANGES TO B+E TOWING TRAILERS

             *********** GOVERNMENT CHANGES from 16th DECEMBER 2021 **************

If you are a full car licence holder you are now allowed to tow large trailers up to 3,500kg WITHOUT THE NEED TO TAKE A TRAILER TEST.

When you renew your driving licence DVLA will update your records to show that you’re allowed to tow category B+E large trailers. 

You do not need to contact DVLA for this to happen, it will be completed automatically.

ALTHOUGH YOU ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED TO SIT A DRIVING TEST TO TOW A LARGE TRAILER ON THE ROAD. THE GOVERNMENT HAVE RECOMMENDED THAT SOME TRAILER FAMILIARISATION TRAINING IS TAKEN BEFORE TOWING A TRAILER ON THE ROAD.

We provide the government recommended trailer training throughout central Scotland.

We can now start and finish the trailer training from your place of work.

Training Option 1

The 1/2 day morning course is designed for people with some experience driving and reversing trailers.

The trailer training course using our vehicle & trailer =£180.

Using your vehicle and trailer = £140
